What is a Form 1?

Master appoints a trustee or liquidator

Once the Master of the High Court formally appoints a trustee (for a person's bankrupt estate) or a liquidator (for an insolvent company), the Master publishes a Form 1 notice. It names the trustee or liquidator and calls on creditors to prove their claims at a stated meeting.

This notice usually follows the J29 or J29CC by several weeks, once the Master has confirmed the trustee elected at the first meeting.
